(Community : Disaster News)
MISSING PERSON, Victor Portalatin,

All,

As you may or may not know by now, my father Victor Joaquin Portalatin, 76 years old, went missing the morning of Sunday July 17 at 11:00 AM in the Bogota/Teaneck area of New Jersey. He went for a short walk and never returned. He is taking medication for among other things, high blood pressure, dementia and diabetes. He has been without these CRITICAL meds since disappearing on Sunday.

He had several cerebral hemorrhages over the past six months and his mental faculties have been impaired ever since.

I am sending this note to see if any of you may have any contacts in the news - television, internet, print or radio - to try to get the word out. Or to see if you might want to volunteer to help search for my dad on foot or by car.

We will be dispatching people who come to my family's home in Bogota tomorrow (Thursday July 21) between 12:00 PM and 4:00 PM in the afternoon, with flyers to comb the areas near Teaneck, Bogota, Hackensack, Ridgefield Park, Dumont, Leonia, Fort Lee, etc. If you can offer assistance, feel free to come to my family's home tomorrow. The address is:
286 Leonia Avenue, Bogota, New Jersey, 07803. Come between 1:00 PM and 4:00 PM.

I realize an in person search is TREMENDOUSLY difficult for many SO....If you cannot make it to help in person you can help in many other ways.....I have attached a Missing Persons Poster that we created - this contains all of my father's pertinent description information. Please feel free to print the attached flyer and post in any areas by your homes or where large numbers of people might pass - bus stops, train stations, churches, supermarkets, gas stations, parks, etc.to distribute as you may deem appropriate. Also feel free to disseminate to others electronically.

I have also attached a press release that the Natalie Holloway Resource Center was kind enough to generate and distribute for us. These two files have all the pertinent info about my father and his disappearance.

Anything that you can do to spread the word in your neighborhoods, on your social network pages or to the media would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you all for your enormous amounts of love and support and the tremendous efforts to help locate my father. Our entire family thanks you all.
