早上原定做插管入膽囊的手術, 但突然出現一個不知名的肝膽腸胃科醫生, 到文筠的房間跟她說, 按超音波的測驗膽囊應該無事, 文筠已很不高興, 她質問醫生有否看過昨晚她的CT-Scan 報告? 他說還沒有, 她更激動, 那你憑甚麼就肯定無事呢? 為何你們同一醫院同一肝膽科醫生有絕然不同的看法, 當然醫生們有不同意見很平常, 但最叫她莫名其妙的是兩個醫生都很草率又主觀, 定了兩個絕然不同的結論, 兩個不同的處理方案, 未商討好就入病房一天告訴一個不同的方法, 叫只剩下半條命的病人如何取捨? 正好今天當植的移植醫生轉班, 換來了一個十分有經驗的醫生, 護士透露他是名列全美最好的十大移值醫生之中, 一切由他作最後決定, 既然超音波與CT-Scan都不能作準, 再多加一個叫Higher X-Ray Scan Test, 看膽囊是否有梗塞, 結果顯示膽囊沒有梗塞, 插管手術取消, 感謝神的在背後一直引領。
她的水腫沒改變, 但止痛藥生效叫她沒有那麼辛苦, 因她的腎臟似乎越來越不正常, 不過這也是他們意料中事, 請切切為她腎臟禱告, 叫她盡快康復。
9th Day of Transplant
In the morning, Glory was prepared to receive a tube into her gall bladder for the procedure to remove her gall bladder, All of a sudden, a doctor whom we have never met before came in. He is a liver, gall, GI doctor. He told Glory that according to the sonogram, her gall bladder should be fine. Glory was very unhappy and questioned the doctor if he had seen her CT scan report. The doctor said, he had not. Glory got really upset--- how did he come up with the conclusion that her gall bladder is now fine? Why would the doctors from the same liver-gall department of the same hospital have such opposing views? Of course, it is quite normal to have different opinions among doctors. But what upsets her, is that both doctors are rash and opinionated. They came up with 2 totally different conclusions, two different protocals. Without a complete discussion between the two, they came in on different days to tell her different things. How would one expect a patient in such life threatening situation to make a choice? Today, there is a shift change among the doctors. In came one who is well-experienced. A nurse told us he is listed among the best 10 transplant doctors in the nation. He will make all final decisions. Since neither the sonogram nor the CT scan could give a clear picture, another Higher X-ray Scan Test was performed to see if the gall bladder is blocked. Result shows that there is no blockage. There is no longer a need to insert a tube into her. Thank God for His guidance behind the entire episode.
Her swelling is still there. Pain relief medication finally kicked in. Her kidneys are malfunctioning, and this is within expectation. Please pray for her kidneys, for fast recovery.
